I have just found one of its  channels called EnglishLessons4U which provides many videos that exploit a lot of English grammar topics and share nice tips for better results along the way of learning. "AMERICAN FOOD": Fulbright Cultural Event

The project "Making the teaching of English more dynamic at UESC" promotes an interesting and fun event about FOOD!!!!  Have you ever wondered what Americans eat? Are you curious about some of the local traditions and food of the United States? Come and hear Loni and Sarah share about some of their favorite recipes and foods as well as taste some traditional dishes such as macaroni and cheese, pancakes and maple syrup and apple crisp. Idea Factory: UESC English Language Teaching Convention

Next week at the State University of Santa Cruz, hereafter now on UESC, the Letras & Artes Department is hosting an event called Idea Factory: UESC English Language Teaching Convention 2013, on August 21st , where the English language is used all the time, which makes the event an experience of linguistic immersion.

The main objectives of the event are:

• To approach the teachers and students of PARFOR-English, Letras, LEA and PIBID-English, professionals and institutions which are dealing with the teaching of this language in the region covered by the UESC;
• To promote the release of relevant works of regional, national and/or international authors in the field of teaching and learning of English;
• To offer participants the opportunity to immerse in an entire day devoted to English, exchange experiences in the field of teaching and learning of English;
• To provide opportunity for the dissemination of projects, actions and language courses, in regard to the English language.

6) Create your own goals. Determine where you want to be professionally and what skills you need to reach that goal.

7) Be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Accept challenges that force you to try something new.

8) Be clear about what you want. If you believe you deserve a promotion, ask for one,

9) Take time off and relax. Attending to your personal life and doing things that make you happy will help your performance at work.

10) Seek satisfaction. If you are disappointed by your current career, look for ways to transform your job into more of you want. If this does not solve the problem, maybe it's time to look for a new position.

If you follow this advice, you will significantly increase your opportunities to earn more money, get promoted sooner and move ahead faster.

TEN WAYS to improve your career (Part 1)

Everybody is worried about what to do to improve their own career.  In the next couple weeks, I am going to share with you some newsworthy tips to getting ahead in your career from Ajilon Finance, a leading staffing and recruiting services firm, offering you an opportunity to think about what you have done and what you should do from now on. 1) Make a list of your priorities and outline your tasks for the day. Write down your short- and long-term goals, evaluate your progress frequently and stay focused.

2) Are you really present? You may physically be at work, but are you there mentally?

3) Learn how to work through others. Delegating tasks is an important skill to master at any level.

4) Always look for opportunities to broaden your skills. For example, you can attend professional development seminars.

VIDEO: A female polyglot explains how to learn languages

For some people, just learning one language it is a hard and a complicated step which takes a long time to be taken, but some have the incredible ability to learn languages effortlessly. Nevertheless, we do have to consider that each individual's brain works in a slightly different way and everyone has their own time to master a linguistic skill (then, take yours!), of course, considering how much you are immersed in the language, how much you are passionate about it and how often you are exposed to it.

Susanna Zaraysky was interviewed in San Francisco by the Channel CBS 5 Bay about the book "Language is Music" when she talks about her book "Language is Music", how to learn languages, comparing that process (and using it) to listening to music and media and other easy activities at home. Para algumas pessoas, apenas aprender uma língua é um passo difícil e complicado que leva um longo tempo para ser tomado, mas alguns têm a incrível capacidade de aprender línguas sem esforço. No entanto, temos  que considerar que o cérebro de cada indivíduo funciona de uma maneira um pouco diferente e que cada um tem a sua hora certa para dominar uma habilidade linguística (então, leve o tempo necessário!), é claro, considerando o quanto você está imerso na língua, o quanto você é apaixonado por ela e com que frequência você está exposto a ela.
